A Few Changes At www.vickyyorkyyorkedesigns.com ...

  The shop is now re-open after its little break and as I continue to restock for Christmas, I wanted to address some changes you might have noticed.  As many of you know, I opened the shop in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to keep my business going and as a place to sell some of my licensed products and the handmade items I would normally be selling at craft fairs. I really appreciated your response. I was, and remain, so grateful for your support during such a difficult period for me while I was shielding. Not only did it bring in much needed income, but it offered me a connection to the outside world as I chatted to customers and other store owners online. As the world, (including my own little shielding world), has opened back up I have found myself busier and busier with freelance projects and licensing again, which is great because that’s the core of my business, but I’ve also found I’ve really been neglecting the shop this year, which makes me sad. It's been a while...!

It's been quite a long time since I posted on this blog and A LOT has happened in that time! I'm not sure why I stopped writing, especially as I spent almost all of 2020 and 2021 essentially locked up at home shielding from the Covid-19 pandemic because I have Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia and that made me clinically extremely vulnerable. It was a tricky time and I had lots of time on my hands to write something, but I think instead I threw myself into the escapism of designing. Did you know my licensing portfolio now contains well in excess of 3500 pieces of art?! So my time during the pandemic was not entirely wasted!  I thought it was about time I got back to it, so in case you haven't been following me on instagram over this time, this is a little catch up blog to tell you what I've been up to since I last wrote.
