SPOTTED IN STORE!

Image
It's been a really good few days for spotting my products in store! During the pandemic, one of the things I missed most about the way my job had to change was going into physical stores and just looking at products! While I was shielding, a new large T K Maxx store opened up near me and now I’m going out a lot more, I decided I wanted to take a look as it’s always been one of my favourite shops to have a mooch! With so many of my licensed products made for the USA market I often miss getting to see them on actual store shelves. I had no idea that any of these products had made it over to the UK, so was utterly delighted as I walked through kitchenware to find my little holly Christmas bowls made in collaboration with Prima Design - what a treat! Plus the bowls turned out super-cute and I do love a nibble bowl! Not only that, but the kitchenware aisles were packed with other products and even packaging featuring my patterns that I have designed through freelance projects. I don’t

New Licensed Mug Collection - Vicky Yorke Designs x Captivate Brands

Image
I'm delighted to finally be able to share with you that I have collaborated with  Captivate Brands Ltd.  on a new collection of beautiful licensed mugs.  ' Midwinter' is a selection of designs inspired by the forest with patterns including forest flora, oak leaves, trees and forest animals including foxes, hares and birds. It's a cosy collection that is perfect for transitional interiors between Autumn and Winter with the colour palette making it perfect for Christmas and the festive season too.  I worked closely with Captivate over a number of months to help them select some of my favourite and most on trend designs, and we have teamed these with fashionable shapes to create a fresh and stylish selection of 40 mug designs co-branded under their  Siip Fundamental  collection.  'Contoured' is a collection of continuous line drawings and here fashionable and stylish face illustrations are adorned with flower crowns in honour of female strength and unity. A Few Changes At www.vickyyorkyyorkedesigns.com ...

The shop is now re-open after its little break and as I continue to restock for Christmas, I wanted to address some changes you might have noticed.  As many of you know, I opened the shop in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to keep my business going and as a place to sell some of my licensed products and the handmade items I would normally be selling at craft fairs. I really appreciated your response. I was, and remain, so grateful for your support during such a difficult period for me while I was shielding. Not only did it bring in much needed income, but it offered me a connection to the outside world as I chatted to customers and other store owners online. As the world, (including my own little shielding world), has opened back up I have found myself busier and busier with freelance projects and licensing again, which is great because that’s the core of my business, but I’ve also found I’ve really been neglecting the shop this year, which makes me sad. (I’m really quite attache
