It's been great to hear from my agents, Jewel Branding , that the summer shows at Surtex, New York and Licensing Expo, Las Vegas were a resounding success with lots of exciting companies visiting the stand and many of them choosing to view my portfolio with the possibility of becoming licensing partners in the near future! Jewel have kindly shared with me some photos of their booths, which I'm sure you'll agree looked absolutely fantastic! First, are some images of the booth at Surtex, where each of the Jewel designers were asked to format their designs into hexagons, which were then used to create a really striking stand display. How many of my designs can you spot in the photos below?! The designs featured in my last post are from my art licensing collection, Bright Hearts  and are also available from my Etsy store as art tiles. Stand them on a shelf or use a plate hanger and display them as wall art. I am delighted to tell you that I have finally got round to opening my own online store through Etsy! My plan is to sell uniquely designed homeware and gifts, which I will make by hand in my home studio. I have invested in a variety of sublimation equipment including a brilliant new printer, which allows me to transfer my vibrant designs onto all sorts of products using a heat press. I have been testing products for a few months and am really happy with the quality and beautiful colours I am able to achieve. A lot of items are customisable, so visit my store for truly personal gifts for your family and friends!

We are now well into the festive season with all of the UK high street bringing out their best Christmas designs and it has been a huge thrill for me to see my two Christmas ranges, Christmas Fayre and Partridge & Pear in stores all around the UK. The above photo of me and my cookie cutter Christmas tree was taken in my local Garden & Leisure store, Barnett Hill, which also stocked the complimentary tins from the range and a selection of Partridge & Pear. My biggest delight has probably been seeing Partridge & Pear displayed all together in it's own unit in my local BHS . (Not the best photo of me though thanks to a strange angled phone-camera!) It was also spotted in another BHS by friends who sent me the photo above. People have been so kind with their comments about these ranges and it has been great when they have taken the time to let me know they have seen the designs in stores all around the country. As we head towards the festive season, thoughts are really beginning to turn towards Christmas parties and New Year, so this is a perfect time for my final post about my party range design for ' Mix It' , which would make a perfect fun alternative to traditional Christmas party products!  One of my favourite things about this range is the packaging, which was put together by the very clever  artworkers at Kitchen Craft. They took my illustrations and surface patterns and all of the playfulness that I tried to create on product and extended this onto boxes, labels and belly bands to really bring the range together! I particularly love how they have subtly brought my cross-hatch surface pattern into the packaging using a spot UV finish, (which is basically a varnish effect on a matt background).  There are lots of cocktail and party products available in the 'Mix It' range. The second part of the 'Mix It' brief was to design a complimentary surface pattern that would go with the illustrations, but be separate to them. This needed to be unisex to go across a range of textile and paper product, so I decided to keep it quite simple with a hand drawn cross hatch effect created with a dip pen. I used the acidic colours from the illustrations to pull the two contrasting looks together. The cross-hatch design is available on neoprene bottle bags, bottle coolers and napkins.
