My second collection for Camelot launched in April. ‘ Village Life ’ was inspired completely by the village where I live in Worcestershire, UK and as with all of my collections began with illustrations drawn in pen and ink of motifs that represent semi-rural life and the community here. These designs always make me smile because when I look at them I think of home: vibrant blooms and plucky chickens from the village allotment outside the window of my home studio;  ducks and pig prints from the farm at the bottom of the road; a big statement typography print references the post office, the village store, the church, the bridle path, the canal, even our annual beer festival and more – basically it covers everything that makes this village a community and why I love living here so much.   I’m delighted to announce my third collection for Camelot Fabrics has launched on their website . It’s called ‘Urban Jungle’ and features cats... ...dogs... ... as well as pretty meadow flowers!  While I do like dogs, I am most definitely a cat lover and this collection was initially inspired by watching my beautiful kitty moving around our garden with the beauty and grace of her wild big cat relatives - Our garden is definitely her jungle!  Camelot Fabrics say: "Guys, it’s an urban jungle out there. But Vicky Yorke’s cheerful prints, raining cats and dogs, bring a smile to the city. After all, a house just isn’t a home without a dog (or cat). And a cat (or dog) is not happy without a quilt." In addition to my repeat prints, this collection also features my hand drawn typography across two placement half-panels, which read  'A house is not a home without a cat' / 'Beware of the garden

I am so excited to finally share with you some big news that I’ve been keeping secret since the summer…! My debut fabric collection, ‘From London with ❤️’ has now launched on the website of my amazing new licensing partner, Camelot Fabrics . I have dreamed of designing my own fabric collection for as long as I can remember and so to have my designs available for crafters, sewers and quilters through such an amazing fabric company as Camelot really is a dream come true! ‘From London with ❤️’ depicts popular motifs and landmarks from the UK capital city all drawn in my colourful and whimsical style.  Camelot say:  " Vicky Yorke’s debut collection is packed with charmingly British images: double decker buses, London landmarks and whimsical umbrellas. Happy New Year everyone! I thought I would begin the new year by revisiting a project from this time last year! Regular followers of my blog may remember me talking about getting my paint brushes out for a really fun brief. As always with product development it's taken a while, but I can now share with you that these designs were to be part of a new range of mugs. The first mug captures the ever popular subject of British birds ( - one of my favourite subjects to draw and paint!) ... and the second mug, which I call 'Haberdashery' captures the current British trend for all things craft. I originally painted the design in a vintage colour pallet of red, blue and beige, but Kitchen Craft asked me to digitally recolour it to be more of a pinky / purple colour pallet and this was used on the final design above.  Images copyright Kitchen Craft 2014.
